program. Is it a possibility to get a sample of what the Kindergarten
program looks like? This would be very helpful before we make a decision.
Thank you.

Comments: I have been using VoWac now for the past four years
in a trade book based reading program. I find it an invaluable resource. I
feel that I am giving my students a strong framework to lean on as they
develop all their reading and spelling skills. My parents are impressed and
thrilled every year with the phonics skills their children come to know. I
highly recommend this program to any teacher or school system! It's
developmental, builds upon learned skills, is very organized, and
teacher-user friendly.

Comments: John, Wow! I love the new developments in the
program. Website looks great too. I've been out of VoWac for so long. I am
teaching remedial reading to 50 kids this summer and of course I naturally
turned to VoWac for my curriculum. I am borrowing Lisa's materials for the
summer. I love the new 30 sided dice. I need to order 5 sets of those and 4
packs of playing cards. Any chance I can get them by next Tuesday? Can't
wait to see what you develop next! Any chance it will be games with a
blend/diagraph dice or a dipthong dice? Just a couple of ideas. :0) Ginger

Just want you to know that I am spreading the word about how good this
program is! I have already convinced 4 or 5 other teachers in in other
schools to try it and they are very enthused too. I love teaching it. I must
admit that my favorite song is "It is in the Igloo". It is also the
children's favorite as they always ask me to play the "I" song and they just
LOVE marching to the "a" song. Keep up the great work!
Gratefully,
Sister Sharon

Hi,
I'M teaching in Prescott Valley, Az now. I sure wish they used VoWac. I went
for training in Spalding this summer, and can't see much use with the
program. Very outdated material. I'm using VoWac strategies with my Spanish
students to try and help them grasp our language. Several schools in our
district aren't sold on Spalding and I've already started planting ideas
about Vowac.
They want reading scores to increase but they are very poor considering
these kids have had Spalding for 5 years and still read at 2nd and 3 gr
levels. Carolyn Stewart said our Stanford scores were up and believe me when
I say most teachers in the 2nd grade used it faithfully last year, at Coyote
Canyon.
Wishing you a great year. I like the web site!!!
